In the version of book, published as a manuscript in St. Petersburg in 2008, were highlighted separate pages of A. Chizhevsky’s life in Kazakhstan for 13 years, at first as a prisoner, and then as an exile settler. The second edition was corrected in some places and includes new facts about the creativity of the scientist, including his three-time nomination for the title of The Lenin Prize Laureate in 1957. The book poured a reflection of the memories of contemporaries, who communicated with A. S. Chizhevsky.
In this book were used materials from the collections of the Museum House of A. Chizhevsky in Kaluga, identified by the head of the sector Lyudmila Engelhardt, who participated in the preparation of the manuscript as a reviewer and scientific consultant. I express my sincere gratitude to her.
